Customers and invoices

Customers are the accounts you bill. Invoices turn completed jobs into draft → sent → paid (or void) bills, optionally with a compliance pack attached.

Customers

Open Customers (Commercial) to manage accounts. Statuses are Active or Inactive. Create a customer with New customer — account and billing details used on invoices (VAT, bank, terms where configured).

Customer detail

From a customer you can:
  • Edit account details
  • Link site or New site so locations bill to this account
  • New invoice from invoiceable completed jobs
  • Review Portal access (customer users who can open the verification portal)
  • Browse linked Locations and past Invoices

Create and send

  1. New invoice — pick a customer and completed jobs across their sites (“No invoiceable jobs” means nothing is ready to bill yet).
  2. Review line items and totals on the draft.
  3. Send — branded PDF (and email when configured). Optionally attach a compliance pack so evidence travels with the bill.
  4. Later: Mark paid, Resend, or Void from invoice detail.
Stripe Connect (in Settings) can add payment links on send when your org has completed Connect onboarding.

Tips

  • Link locations to customers before multi-site invoicing — see Map and locations.
  • Invite portal users from the customer record — see Customer portal.
  • Keep job evidence complete so packs attached to invoices stay inspection-ready.
